the latest album has been on release for some five months yet has
still not gone platinum let alone multi platinum like all previous
albums except the awful VH3. do you think the fans have finally had
enough of these guys letting them down over the years? have the fans
finally walked?
first of all they sack poular singer sammy hagar.
then they appear at the MTV awards with even more popular singer DLR.
every body gets excited. at last they're back together. seeing how
popular dave still is the VH brothers get rid of him out of sheer
jealousy.
then eddie tries to force the fans to accept gary cherone as new
singer saying 'the fans don't choose the singer'. Oh yes they do eddie
as they simply didn't bother to buy the godawful album you made with
him.that you thought would automatically go multiplatinum.
then, the band do a reunion tour with.....sammy hagar, their second
most popular singer rather than roth, the one most fans desperately
want back.
finally they do agree to do a reunion with roth so eddie screws the
fans over by putting a fifteen year old boy - his fat son wolfgang- on
bass. no, no we can't see the original line up again can we?
finally, finally they actually make a new album. it gets good reviews
and many fans are happy. but where are the huge sales of all previous
albums? so much for dave's boast that they could get back together and
make an album that sells ten million. they'll be lucky if it sells one
million before the end of the planned 2 year tour which has now
disintegrated.
do you believe the albums commercial disappointment is down to the
fans finally having enough of being treated like shit, and that
millions of them have simply turned their backs on VH forever.
THE REASON FOR THE BANDS BREAKUP
which is exactly, repear exactly what we are witnessing here is the
lack of commercial success the album has acheived. no hit singles.
none!! album which should have already gone multiplatinum now looking
as though it'll struggle like fuck to sell even one million.
eddie van halen is not very happy!!! - not very happy at all!! he's
back with his nemesis roth, yet the massive levels of commercial
success he was supposed to bring back to the band simply haven't
materialised. eddie isn't very happy and his anger is now being taken
out on roth.
goodbye van halen. goodbye forever!!
