Reportedly, the rumors about the "feud" going on between band members
is bullshit.

Even rockstars can get tired ... and TMZ has learned that's exactly
why Van Halen decided to postpone 31 upcoming concert dates.

Sources close to the band tell us ... the guys felt like the current
schedule was "too much, too fast" ... and they were "losing their
focus."

One source tells us, "They're simply burned out" ... adding, "They
want to make sure their concerts are not a routine ... they want every
performance to be special."

We're told the guys want to take some time to "re-charge their
engines" ... so they can rock all 31 cities the way Van Halen fans
expect to be rocked.

As for rumors that Eddie Van Halen and David Lee Roth are feuding ...
we're told "It's total B.S."

i hope that it's just fatigue but was their schedule really that
grueling? it's weird that they originally gave no reason or press
release...why?? i guess time will tell and it'll be interesting how
this plays out. outside of roth often bitching about blowers on the
stage, things seemed to be good and the band looked happy and
performed well.

personally, i'm sick of the musical chairs with singers and enjoyed
hearing the old stuff live, so i hope they can pull it together and
continue to make it work.

For younger bands, the schedule wouldn't be that bad; I don't think
they perform any shows consecutively, but rather each show was every
other day.
However, Eddie is in his late 50's, was treated for cancer and
underwent hip surgery. David Lee Roth is a smoker and spent a good
20+ years leaping off of drum risers and doing spin kicks. And I
believe at one point that Alex hurt his neck.
So we can't expect that these guys would have the endurance of an
Olympic runner.

Or maybe Eddie's wife is pregnant? She's still within child-bearing
age, I think.

How can they just decide to do this? I'm no expert but it would
seem that contracts would bind them. I'm sure there are exceptions
for certain things but "losing their focus"? Maybe there is more
to this than we're being told. What if Eddie's cancer is back?

I think he'll do like he did in 2007... get himself taken care of and get
back on the road.

As much of a prick as Eddie has been over the years, I think that this time
around (as in 2007-8) he just wants to get out there and play for the fans,
for himself, and for his son.

I don't know what's going on, but it sounds like typical RS bullshit.
Just like when they ranked Eddie at #70 for guitarists. They also
probably have a beef with VH over snubbing them for an interview and
cover. They love to stir the pot, see the Hagar gossip interviews.


TMZ has been spot on in all their reporting I've heard about - Michael
Jackson, Whitney Houston, Junior Seau etc.

Maybe Wolfie's girlfriend is going to have a baby...

It'll be interesting tomorrow night, to see if VH say anything during
their concert.
