Some claims Sammy makes in his book

Okay, I managed to download a copy of Sammy's book.
Here's a gem of a quote that I've come across:

"The tour for VOA was my most successful. I sold out arenas
everywhere, two three, or four nights some places, one of the top-five
grossing tours in 1984--right up there with Van Halen, who broke at
the same time with 'Jump' and all that."

Another one:

"My album (VOA) was 1.6 million, but they (Van Halen) ended up selling
10 million records."

LOL

These claims aren't actually true, are they? As far as I can tell,
Sammy's tour was not anywhere near Van Halen's 1984 tour, and none of
his records went platinum until he joined Van Halen.

"The album (5150) sold 600,000 copies the first week and another
400,000 the next week. It was on fire. It went platinum faster than
any record in Warner Bros. history. Every one of our records did.
When I was in the band, Van Halen was a huge, quick seller."

Somewhere I read something about there was a Hagar fan at VHlinks
documenting all the lies in his book.

Sammy was never near VH's level - 3 golds vs. 6 multi-platinums.

And if he was equal, why wasn't he still equal after he got canned?
AC/DC and VH were about the most equal at the time and both still play
to big numbers, not Hagar. LOL

Hagar would have never headlined the US Festival either. Would have
probably been somewhere between Motley Crue (who opened and were not
famous outside LA at the time) and Quiet Riot. (That's if he would
have even been on Heavy Metal Day).

FWIFW... Actually, that's wrong. Now I remember it was Quiet Riot who
opened, Motley Crue, actually played second. I remember getting in
right when Motley crue was ending. QR was a last minute addition.

Hagar would have played on the David Bowie night below everyone else.
Fuck him... LOL

Van Halen broke in 1984? How is it possible that people actually
believe what comes out of this bums mouth?
