i had the link but lost it (may have been on VHND.com). anyway, it said VH's album was #6 in 2012 among pop/rock albums (or wording to that effect) so far and sold just under 400k. 400 fucking thousand...that's it?? what a sad state the music industry is in. i know it's only been about half a year but that's a sorry number (not VH's fault) for such a great comeback album. and i know it's an itunes and pop singles world now but still...such a great album hasn't even reached gold yet. what in the fuck is that shit?? i was really disgusted to see it hasn't even reached gold yet.

400k in 2012 is very good, actually.
You are judging these sales by the standards of the 80's music
industry.

400k in 2012 is very good, actually.
Especially for albums not released through Best Buy or Wal Mart.

not saying it's not good for 2012 but it's just a sad commentary on the state of music/sales today. even pre-2000 album sales were pretty healthy. it just seems unbelievable that an album this good hasn't even made gold status yet. will it make gold by the end of the year? will it ever make platinum?? no wonder bands wait a good 5 yrs or more between albums. it's not even worth it.
